After Peter graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Economics, he landed a job with Midland Doherty, which today is known as Merrill Lynch. Mortgage brokering was in its infancy and Peter found it very intriguing. He preferred giving money to clients to invest rather than asking for it to invest. Over the last 18 years he has help thousands realize their dreams of homeownership … and there were no fees for his assistance! Peter’s client base has expanded on the principle “Get by Giving” … help in anyway you can and the referrals will follow. His mission is to ensure that his clients are so completely satisfied with his level of service that they will be eager to refer their family, friends, and colleagues. When not occupied with his “Mortgage Planner” responsibilities, Peter enjoys time with his wife Tina and their three boys.

Nadia really runs the show by keeping Peter inline. She has been Peter's right-hand for the last 9 years, where her responsibilities have been to ensure that the systems and processes are implemented and effective. She manages all the borrowers’ documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy, both before and after closing. When she’s not alleviating mortgage anxiety for Peter’s client, she spends her free time with her husband Rui and their two daughters.

Andre has a wealth of experience after having been employed by both Banks and Trust Companies, where he has had significant exposure to arranging both very difficult and easy mortgages. As a Mortgage Planner he is steadily building his client referral base by providing solid and neutral mortgage advice for all varieties of borrowers. When he is not helping home owners with their mortgages, he is either at home with his wife Alison or golfing!

Kathryn Kotris has 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, having worked at both mortgage lenders and mortgage brokers. Her experience within both environments is a great asset to our office. Her studies include a Degree in Political Science and the Canadian Securities Certification. She has also served on many Industry Advisory Boards, and is an active member in many different public policy initiatives. Kathryn's background has provided her with the ability to understand the complex choices consumers must navigate in order to enjoy financial security and peace of mind in their "Mortgage Planning".

John has over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry, having initially worked as an investment loans officer with a major Canadian bank, but spending the majority of his time as a mortgage planner helping clients achieve their dreams of homeownership and financial security. John has experience will all types of client situations and mortgage needs. John has considerable experience with clients who are self employed or need credit repair. John is available to meet with clients at the Royal LePage Estates office in the Beach.

After graduating from the University of Toronto with a degree in economics, Deon gained valuable mortgage experience working with institutions such as London Life, BMO, and CIBC. With 13 years in the industry, he is a great asset and brings valuable experience to our office. Deon's expertise is quite broad and includes sub-prime, commercial, residential and private mortgages. He is also our resident IT support. Deon's goals include building a solid and loyal client base through his proven commitment to integrity and service. On his days off he enjoys playing volleyball, photography and traveling.

Catherine Bourbeau joined Mortgage Architects in 2007. Previously she spent over 18 years with financial institutions in Vancouver in several different roles, including Customer Service Manager, Commercial Account Manager, Personal Financial Manager, Branch Manager, Mortgage Broker (in house at HSBC and TDCT), and Mortgage Underwriter. Languages spoken include Cantonese, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Vietnamese.

Alex began his financial career in the late 1990's with Royal Bank, eventually determining that he could offer clients much more choice and objectivity if he made the move to mortgage brokering. In August of 2009, he decided to take his career to a new direction by joining Mortgage Architects. The 'planning' approach at Mortgage Architects was something that was of great interest to Alex because he takes a 'client for life' approach with his business. Alex specializes in debt consolidation, helping clients save on interest and lower their monthly payments. For whatever mortgage need a client has, Alex is always able to advise on the optimal product and path. When Alex is not working, you can usually find him on a golf course, or enjoying time with his wife and two children.

Ernie has been in the financial services industry for 20 years, having worked with several major Canadian banks in positions that included Loans Officer, Underwriter, Financial Advisor, and Sales & Service Manager. In 2003, he obtained his Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP). Ernie's goal is to exceed his clients expectations by providing exceptional service and advice throughout the mortgage experience and by helping his clients pay less overall interest. Ernie is married and enjoys soccer and hockey activities with this two children, and golfing and fishing on his own time.

Mihaela has several years of mortgage experience and is very knowledgeable with the Mortgage Planning process. Her contribution to our team includes documentation management, and liaising with the lenders to ensure accuracy and quick turnaround. Mihaela also works with Nadia to ensure our customers receive the best service experience possible. She recently emigrated from Romania with her husband and son, and is quite active within her community.
